How to provide a numerical data entry feature using a keypad

Follow the steps below.

 

[To call a numeric keypad when an entry target is pressed]

Operation example
Pressing on a numerical data display part brings up a keypad equipped with entry keys.

Enter a value using the numeric keypad and press the [ENT] key to write the value into the device memory of the entry target.
The numeric keypad will disappear.

  1. Select [Parts] → [Data Display] → [Num. Display], and place numerical data display parts.

  2. Display the [Num. Display] dialog, select [Contents] and configure the entry target device memory.

  3. Select [Function] and set [Function] as [Entry Target]. Check [Display the keyboard] and select [Overlap Library].

  4. Press [Register] and select a numeric keypad.

  5. Check [Display Position] and specify the coordinates to determine the keypad display position.

When settings are complete, a multi-overlap icon and "MLIB" mark are displayed in addition to the numerical data display part.
The "MLIB" mark indicates the display position (upper left corner) of the numeric keypad.

[To place entry targets and a numeric keypad on the same screen]

Operation example
When a value is entered from the numeric keypad and the [ENT] key is pressed, it will be written into the device memory of the entry target.

  1. Select [Parts] → [Data Display] → [Num. Display], and place numerical data display parts.

  2. Display the [Num. Display] dialog, select [Contents] and configure the entry target device memory.

  3. Select [Function] and set [Function] as [Entry Target].
    Press [Place Keypad] and place the numeric keypad on the screen.
