Ladder transfer cannot be performed properly.
The solution varies depending on the connection method between the PC and the V10/V9 series.
There are three connection methods: USB, Ethernet, and serial (V-CP cable).
[USB or Ethernet connection]
<Causes>
- The [Ladder Transfer] setting in the screen data is illegal.
- "LadderComOp2" is not set in the Device Manager.
- "LadderComOp" (Ladder Transfer Setting) includes an illegal setting.
- "LadderComOp" (Ladder Transfer Setting) is not consistent with the COM port number set in the programming software for the PLC.
- The RUN screen is not displayed on the V10/V9 series (USB ladder transfer function only).
<Solutions>
- Click [System Setting] -> [Hardware Setting] -> [Ladder Transfer].
Check if the following options are set.
- Check [Use ladder transfer with the PLC connected to ---].
Regarding "---", select the connector that the PLC is connected to. - Connection port:
For USB ladder transfer function: "USB B"
For Ethernet ladder transfer function: "LAN", "Port No."
- Check [Use ladder transfer with the PLC connected to ---].
- Start the Device Manager on the PC, and check that "LadderComOp2" is installed.
If not found, download from our website and install the device driver.
Click here to download.
If not installed correctly, a yellow "!" mark will be displayed next to "LadderComOp2" on the Device Manager.
In such a case, uninstall "LadderComOp" and install it again. - Select [Start] -> [All Programs] -> [V-SFTV6] -> [LadderComOp] -> [Ladder Transfer Setting] on the PC.
Configure the settings as below.
- PC:
Set the COM port of the PC.
(As default, COM port numbers not in use are listed.)
Set the COM port set here in the programming software for the PLC.
For more information, click here. - Display unit:
Select the connection method between the PC and the V10/V9 series.
"USB" or "Ethernet"
In the case of Ethernet connection, set the IP address and port number (same number as set for [Hardware Setting] -> [Ladder Transfer]) of the V10/V9 series.
- PC:
4. Be sure to display the RUN screen when the USB ladder transfer function is used.
If communication cannot be established even after performing 1 to 4, remove and insert the cable, or try communication using another V10/V9 series unit or PC.
[Serial communication (V-CP cable)]
<Causes>
- The [Ladder Transfer] setting in the screen data is illegal.
- The transfer cable "V-CP" is not connected to the V series or PC.
- The RUN screen is not displayed on the V10/V9 series.
<Solutions>
- Click [System Setting] -> [Hardware Setting] -> [Ladder Transfer].
Configure the settings below and transfer the screen data. - Check [Use ladder transfer with the PLC connected to ---].
Regarding "---", select the connector that the PLC is connected to. - Connection port: "MJ1" or "MJ2"
Example: When setting "MJ1" for the ladder transfer port:
- Check if the transfer cable "V-CP" is connected correctly to the [Connection] port.
When a USB serial converter is used, ladder transfer may not be performed properly.
In such a case, use another USB serial converter or connect the V-CP cable directly to the PC and try ladder transfer. - Display the RUN screen.
If communication cannot be established even after performing 1 to 3, remove and insert the cable, or try communication using another V10/V9 series or PC.
