It is hot and humid here, are you worried about suffering from the summer heat?
On "Doyo no ushi no hi" (Midsummer Day of the ox according to the old Asian calendar), Japanese people traditionally eat broiled eels. It is said that old people ate food starting from the letter "u" to beat the heat. Eels, in Japanese "unagi", is now listed as endangered species. Price of broiled eels is increasing year by year. We may need to find out another food starting with the letter "u" someday...
This year's Doyo no ushi no hi is July 24 and August 5. Take nutritious food that is in season to beat the heat!
