<Causes>

1. [Start Bit] for sampling control device memory is checked, but the bit is not ON.
2. The reset bit for sampling control device memory is ON.
3. The bit corresponding to the message is not ON.
4. The display area size (width) is small.
5. The storage device is not formatted because [System Setting] →[Other]→ [Storage  Setting] → [Format Buffering Area Automatically] is not checked.
6. Sampling storage target is set to [CF card] but no CF card is inserted into MONITOUCH (V7 series only).
7. Sampling storage target is set to [SRAM] but the SRAM area is not formatted (V7 series only).
8. The "Memorize" icon corresponding to the message is not selected.

<Solutions>

1. With [System Setting]→ [Buffering Area Setting] → [Control Device Setting] tab→[Start Bit] checked, sampling starts when this bit turns ON.
   To execute sampling at all times, uncheck the box (In the case of the V7 series, click here for more information.)
   
   
   
2. Check that the bit set at [System Setting]→ [Buffering Area Setting] → [Control Device Setting]→ [Reset Bit] is OFF.

3. Check if the bit corresponding to the message is ON.
   
   Display the [Message Edit] window, select [Display] and check [Alarm] to display the memory address.
   
   
   
4. If the display area size (width) is narrower than the message to be displayed, the message will not be displayed. Widen the display area size (width).
   It is possible to check if the message can be displayed on the PC as described below.
   
   • Select [View] → [Display Environment], and check [Message].
     or
   • Right-click menu → [Customize] → [Message Display]
     
     
     
5. Two solutions are available.
• Select [System Setting] → [Other] → [Storage Setting], check [Format Buffering Area Automatically], and transfer the screen data.
  or
• Press the [Function: Storage Format (Buffer)] switch on the RUN screen.
  If the switch is not placed, place a new one from selecting [Parts] → [Switch].
  
  
  
6. Insert a storage device into MONITOUCH, and sampling can be started.
   Check if a storage device is inserted (or is recognized normally).
   
   
7. Press the [Function: Card Format] switch on the RUN screen.
   If the switch is not placed, place a new one from selecting [Parts] → [Catalog].
   
   If the switch does not work normally when pressed, click here.
   
   
8. The "Memorize" icon corresponding to the message is selected.
