The solution varies depending on the connection method between the PC and the V8/TS series.
There are three connection methods: USB, Ethernet, serial (V-CP cable).

＊The connection method available with the V7 series is serial connection only.

[USB or Ethernet connection]

<Causes>

1. The [Ladder Transfer Port] setting in the screen data is illegal.
2. "LadderComOp2" is not set in the Device Manager.
3. "LadderComOp" (Ladder Transfer Setting) includes an illegal setting.
4. "LadderComOp" (Ladder Transfer Setting) is not consistent with the COM port number set in the programming software for the PLC.
5. The RUN screen is not displayed on the V8/TS series (USB ladder transfer function only).

<Solutions>

1. Select [System Setting] → [Hardware Setting] and open the [Ladder Transfer Setting] tab window.
   Check if the following options are set.
   

    

   • Check [Use Ladder Transfer].
   • For USB ladder transfer function: "USB B"
     
     
     
     For Ethernet ladder transfer function: "Built-in LAN", "Port No."
      
     
     
2. Start the Device Manager on the PC, and check that "LadderComOp2" is installed.
   If not found, download from our website and install the device driver.
   Click here to download.
   
   
   If not installed correctly, a yellow "!" mark will be displayed next to "LadderComOp2" on the Device Manager.
   In such a case, uninstall "LadderComOp" and install it again.
   
   
3. and d. Select [Start] → [Programs] → [V-SFTV6] → [LadderComOp] → [Ladder Transfer Setting] on the PC.
   Configure the settings as below.

• PC:
  Set the COM port of the PC.
  (As default, COM port numbers not in use are listed.)
  Set the COM port set here in the programming software for the PLC.

• MONITOUCH:
  Select the connection method between the PC and the V8/TS series.
  "USB" or "Ethernet"
  In the case of Ethernet connection, set the IP address of the V8/TS, port number (same number as set [Ladder Transfer Setting] → [Port No.]).
  
  
  Press [ONLINE]. When connection is successful, the ladder transfer mode is made valid.
  

 e. Be sure to display the RUN screen when the USB ladder transfer function is used.

If communication cannot be made properly even after trying a through e, remove and insert the cable, or try communication on another V8/TS series or PC.

[Serial communication (V-CP cable)]

<Causes>

1. The [Ladder Transfer Port] setting in the screen data is illegal.
2. The transfer cable "V-CP" is not connected to the V/TS series or PC.
3. The RUN screen is not displayed on the V8/TS series.

<Solutions>

1. Select [System Setting] → [Hardware Setting] and open the [Ladder Transfer Setting] tab window.
   Configure the settings below and transfer the screen data.
   - Check [Use Ladder Tool].
   - "MJ1" or "MJ2"
   
   Example: When setting "MJ1" for the ladder transfer port:
   
   
   
2. Check if the transfer cable "V-CP" is connected correctly to the [Connection] port.
   

   When a USB serial converter is used, ladder transfer may not be performed properly. In such a case, use another USB serial converter or connect the V-CP cable directly to the PC and try ladder transfer.

   
   
   
3. Display the RUN screen.
   
   If communication cannot be made properly even after trials of a to c, remove and insert the cable, or try communication on another V8/TS series or PC.
